The Prime minister of Somalia Hamse Abdi Barre has met with top national security officials and Banadir Regional Administration to discuss strategizing and beefing up security in the capital, Mogadishu during the holy month of Ramadan.
The meeting involved discussions on various security measures such as intensified patrols, surveillance and intelligence gathering to prevent and respond to any possible security breach or potential attack from Alshabab.
The federal government of Somalia has the sense of fear that Alshabab could wage countless attacks against civilians in Mogadishu in retaliation after they lost enormous fighters during the anti Alshabab war in central and southern Somalia.
The meeting was attended by the National Security adviser to the President, Hussein Moalim, The Governor of Banadir and the Mayor of Mogadishu, Yusuf Hussein Jim’ale (Madale), The Commissioner of the Somali Police Force, Gen. Sulub Ahmed Firin, the commander of the Banadir Police and other security advisers.
