Somalia prime minister, Mohamed Hussein Roble has visited the government spokesperson, Mohamed Ibrahim Moalimuu at Erdogan Hospital in Somali capital, Mogadishu.
Moalimuu was wounded in a suicide bomb blast on Sunday in Waberi district near his house. In a brief statement, the office of the premier said PM Roble wished his spokesperson a quick recovery from the injuries he sustained.
Prime minister Mohamed Hussein Roble condemned the attack and described it as “Odious terrorist attack”. The Prime minister stated that Moalimu is in “stable” condition.
This is atleast the 5th time Moalimu has been caught up in a suicide attack in Mogadishu in his life time. He experienced similar attacks in his time as a Journalist.
Mohamed Ibrahim Moalimu has been a spokesman and adviser to the prime minister for more than a year, having previously been a journalist with the BBC broadcaster and is a former secretary-general of the National Union of Somali Journalists.
