

The Minister of transport and civil aviation of Somalia Fardawsa Osman Egal held talks with the Kenyan Ambassador to Somalia Thomas Chepkuto at her office. The duo discussed ratifying the respective transport and aviation agreements reached by the two countries.
Resuming Kenya airways’ operation in Somalia was among the main agenda of their meeting as the Somalia’s minister of transport and civil aviation affirmed to the public. Fardawsa, furthermore said, they discussed key issues of bilateral aviation partnerships.
Somalia and Kenya had diplomatic disagreements between the former leaders of the two countries; Uhuru Kenyatta and Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo in the last five years that led Somalia to summon its ambassador to Kenya.
However, the new leaders Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and William Ruto pledged to restore the corporations and enhance bilateral partnerships between Somalia and Kenya as they signed to ease the travel movements in their first meetings in Nairobi.
