The Somaliland government has confirmed that the number of Malaria cases is increasing for the past days in Sahil region.
Somaliland ministry of health said that the number of malaria cases this year are higher as compared to the past year.
The regional health Ministry coordinator Dr Bashir Dirie Jama has explained in depth the malaria resurgence in the country. He said the ministry would take all necessary steps to control malaria in Somaliland.
The Ministry also said that the last study they have conducted discovered other malaria infectious diseases are on the rise which can affect urban populations.
The Mayor Of Berbera Abdishakur Ciddin also declared that as a city council and regional authority they would take all necessary measures to control these infectious diseases which are feared to affect urban communities.
