The house of representatives Speaker for Somaliland, Abdirizak Khalif who has been in LasAnod for several days but now returned to Hargeisa said he came back to brief President Bihi about the present situation in Las Anod that had seen protests caused the death of people.
Khalif is very much optimistic that the ongoing traditional elders conference in the city will not risk the unification of Somaliland people and praised the President for his immediate decision to send back the army to their barracks which Khalif believes was a major progressive resolution.
The House Speaker also affirmed Bihi’s administration commitment to open talks with the locals of LasAnod without preconditions to solve the emerged contention between the administration and the locals over the frequent assassinations in the region as well as all political complaints raised by the elders.
