The South west state of Somalia has put new orders on Rickshaw drivers and some of the privately owned taxis following an increased spread of Coronovirus in Somalia. The regional administration announced that from 24th March all the rickshows will not be allowed to operate in the region until further notice.
The regional state information minister Ilyas Saed highlighted that many people declined to follow the health directives of the ministry including wearing face masks in public areas, maintaining social distancing and avoiding public gatherings.
Somalia has continued to register a steady increase in the number of new confirmed coronavirus cases as an additional 129 cases were reported on Monday taking the number of confirmed cases in the country to 10,210.
