The body of the missing Somali American Imam Sheikh Mohamed Hassane was found in the Northside of Columbus, OH. According to the family and Somali community, the Imam went missing from his home in Columbus Ohio on Wednesday.
After nearly 48 hours of searching, sources said that they found his car at the intersection of Joyce and 17th Avenue on the Northside of Columbus Ohio. Inside the car they found the body of the missing Imam Sheikh Mohamed Hassan with several bullet wounds on his body. They called 911 and Columbus Police Crime Investigation Service arrived at the scene to launch investigations.
Sheikh Mohamed Hassan Adam went missing on Wednesday 7pm local time and was last seen at Al Huraira Mosque. Ohio hosts the second largest population of Somalis after Minneapolis in the US.
Imam Sheikh Mohamed Hassan is a businessman and well known among the Somali community in Columbus, OH. His death will be devastating to his family and Columbus Muslim Community.
