Dr. Adam Casayr, the regional health coordinator of Togdheer region of Somaliland, has announced his resignation as the regional health coordinator. He affirmed that he could not take responsibility for the negligence of the growing number of deaths from the pandemic.
Dr, Adam Casayr has underlined the regional quarantine centre does not follow the required procedures and everyone enters and leaves at any time which can raise the spread of the pandemic in the region.
He urged the public to follow the directives of the health ministry and must use Mask in public areas, maintain social distancing, and use hand sanitizers to mitigate the spread of the pandemic in the country.
Togdheer administration had previously said that the number affected by the pandemic is on a sharp increase as well as the designated locations to quarantine people are already overcrowded.
