The Turkish government has strongly condemned the Mogadishu Hotel attack which killed at least 9 People including a well known retired general Mohamed Nour Galal. Turkey said its will stand by the government and people of Somalia in their fight against terrorism.
In a statement the Turkey government said they are saddened by the news of the attack which was allegedly carried out by Alshabab fighters.
The statements reads that Turkey government will continue to stand by the government and people of Somalia in their fight against Terrorism and extended condolence to the families and friends who lost their loved ones in this attack.
The Turkish government is one of the countries affected by the bombings in Somalia. Last month, A Turkish company constructing a highway partly funded by Doha was attacked. At least four people, including two Turkish nationals, were killed and 14 others wounded.
Just days after the attack, the Federal government of Somalia had emphasized that they will assure the security of Turkish and Qatari construction workers in the country.
