In a statement, the United Nations Assistance Mission in Somalia denied reports that any of its personnel was targeted in a suicide attack in Mogadishu.
Contrary to some initial reports, there were no UN personnel or contractors in the convoy targeted in the attack.
The UN mission in Somalia has expressed its condolences to the families of the victims and wishes a speedy recovery for those who were injured.
