Villa Somalia says President Hassan Sheikh in good condition after he tested positive from Covid-19

The Spokesperson of Somalia President Abdikariim Ali Kaar said President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud’s health is in “very good condition” after being diagnosed with Covid-19 on friday. During a press briefing in Mogadishu, Kaar said the President’s health was excellent, adding that he does not feel any significant symptoms of the virus.

The President is still isolated and undergoing continual medical examination, but Kaar said that the President was continuing with his typical daily workload. The president will also take another test on Tuesday.

The spokesperson noted other members of the President’s delegate to the UAE including himself did not test positive from covid19 as they took their second medical test on Sunday.
