

Mohamud Ali Ramah, the former Governor of Somaliland’s Togdheer region, has officially joined the opposition Waddani Party after a period of political non-affiliation. He made this announcement on Monday.
Ramah announced his endorsement of Abdirahman Irro’s presidential candidacy. Irro will contend against the incumbent President Bihi and UCID’s presidential candidate Feisal Ali Waraabe in the upcoming election.
Ramah, who has previously served as governor in several key regions of Somaliland, expressed confidence that his constituency would support Irro’s bid for the presidency. He emphasized that Irro’s election would be crucial for fostering unity among the people of Somaliland.
He revealed the plan of his constituency to hold a grand meeting declaring their will to support Abdirahman Irro’s bid for the presidency anytime soon.
