Somaliland’s leading media station CBA has officially launched its new office in Burao, the second larget city of Somaliland. CBA tv has gained popularity in Somali speaking regions for being the only bilingual tv station.
The launching ceremony was attended by regional officials who included the Governor, city council and political party officials. They extended their gratitude to CBA management and applauded their choice to have an office in Burao.
From now on, CBA will be covering the latest stories that matter in the region on a regular basis and Burao office will be the centre office of the eastern regions of Somaliland. The Director General of CBA Hussein Jama has accentuated the value CBA tv will have to the community of Burao and East African countries at large.
In his remarks, the Governor of Burao Mohamed Dirie praised CBA’s efforts in the community and promised to work closely with the Tv station. The governor also requested CBA Management to take part in raising awareness on Covid-19 and the recurring droughts in the country.
CBA will be a platform where the community of Burco and the region will express their freedom of speech and thoughts. It will also play a key role on educating, informing and entertaining the public. On several occasions, CBA won various awards for its performance and contribution to the development of Somali Journalism.
