MOGADISHU – Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo will attend the United Nations General Assembly for the first time this year September, as reported by Goobjoog media.
Somali Minister of Planning Jamal Mohamed Hassan confirmed that the President will attend the United Nations this year and looks forward to a positive outcome.
The President will make his first speech at the 74th United Nations General Assembly and will focus on a variety of issues such as his government efforts, progress, challenges, and elections in the country next years.
President Farmajo has not attended the United Nations General Assembly for the past two years because of his US citizenship of which brought Earlier this year, President Farmajo returned his US citizenship and that was one of the challenges that made him stay.
This year the president will travel to the convention in the United States as a Somali president.
