Nairobi–The majority leader of the National Assembly Adan Barre Du’ale said in interview to BBC Somali Service he doesn’t Kenyan sea taken over by other nation, be they Somalia or Tanzania. This startling remarks puzzled Somali audience whose minds with filled with tribal dogma. Mr. Duale pioneered new mentality that ethnicity doesn’t matter when it comes to nationalism and patriotism.
Somali Kenyan politician is considered to be the third most powerful man in Kenyan government, a key ally for Uhuru, Kenya’s president.
Affirmed in line with his country’s policy in the face of Somalia, he prefers diplomatic channels in solving the sea dispute with Somalia over courts.
“ I am Somali but who also happened to be Kenyan national” said he.
His interview coincided Kenya’s splendid victory against Djibouti in the United Security Council rotating nonpermanent seat in which they will use to wield their case of the sea in international arena.
Somalia’s foreigner minister optimistically tweeted that Kenya will use the seat for regional interest.
