The Executive Secretary of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), Workneh Gebeyehu, touched down at Bole International Airport today, setting the stage for the upcoming deliberations.
Upon his arrival, Mr. Gebeyehu received a warm welcome from Ethiopia’s Foreign Affairs State Minister, Birtukan Ayano, highlighting the significance of regional collaboration and diplomatic ties.
Additionally, the Acting and State Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia, H.E. Ali Mohamed Omar, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Burundi, H.E. Amb. Albert Shingiro, joined the assembly at Bole International Airport. The distinguished guests were greeted with courtesy by Mr. Melaku Bedada, the Chief of State Protocol, as they arrived for the 44th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council Meeting.
