Land Dispute in Somaliland Reignited

Buurta Kala Jeexan, a neighborhood in Hargeisa has witnessed resurgence of land dispute after courts gave their judgment in a favor of one group. Footages of protesters who claim their land is usurped took to the streets but two of them injured after police fire.

The Mayor held an urgent press conference and threatened whom he called the masterminds of the incitement. The land case has been resolved and those trying to build an iron sheet houses shouldn’t don’t that, he announced. He also sent condolences to the injured folks and wished a quick recovery.
