Yesterday, a landmine kill at the least 10 passengers and injured 13 others when their minibus heading Deefad hit a mine. So far, no group claimed the responsibility or said the landmine could a remnant of the ex-warfare in the early 90s.
Such deadly incident is recurrent. In the last decade, several minibuses and Lorries hit an explosives hidden in the ground.
Mine clearers from foreign lands can’t go in due to insecurity and fear of their lives. Nonetheless, Halo Trust had conducted mine clearing operations but the land is so huge.
