The Libya-Italy Chamber of Commerce in Tripoli and its counterpart in Rome have sealed an agreement towards solidifying the merger of the two chambers. The agreement, marks a moment in bilateral trade relations between the two nations.
Under the terms of the agreement, the Libyan-Italian Chamber of Commerce will serve as the official representative of the Libyan faction within the Rome-based chamber.
According to a statement, this consolidation is expected to streamline operations and enhance cooperation thereby fostering increased trade between Libya and Italy.
It noted that plans are underway for the unified chamber, with the organization of a central business forum slated to take place in the coming weeks adding that the chamber is gearing up for the Tripoli International Fair scheduled from May 15 to 21.
The agreement is a commitment of both nations to bolster economic ties and herald a new era of cooperation in the commerce and trade space.
Held at the Italian Embassy in Tripoli, the signing ceremony was graced by the presence of the Italian Ambassador, Gianluca Alberini, and the President of the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Mohamed Al-Raaed.
