Mogadishu-16, October, 2018—Somalia’s president Mohamed Abdilahi Farmajo invited young men who participated in the civil wars and said “hence, you will in rehab to be reintegrated in the national army.” He also called to fight alongside the army and liberate the Al-Shabab from Lower Shabelle to get rid of the Al-Shabab’s harm against civilians.

“The government works hard to get civic education as well as military training for you to be part of the better future we want to build together.” He said. The Lower Shabelle region suffers lack of development due to the presence of Al-Shabab in the region.

“We are fully aware of the aftermath of the deadly civil wars that were raging on in our country. We inherit useless youth who involved in senseless wars like you who if rehabilitated, could contribute something to their country.”
