Upon her arrival, Representative Hodan Hassan engaged in substantive discussions with Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre, expressing appreciation for the contributions of the Somali diaspora to decision-making processes in their respective adopted nations.
In elucidating the purpose of her visit to Mogadishu, Hodan Hassan articulated her keen interest in observing Somalia’s advancements over recent years and exploring avenues for potential contributions, whether through dialogue, innovative ideas, or advisory support. She conveyed genuine pride in the country’s recent milestones.
During her visit, the Minnesota state representative extended congratulations to Somalia for noteworthy achievements, including securing debt relief, accession to the East African Community, the lifting of the arms embargo, and resolute efforts against militant activities.
