President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria has sympathised with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman of Saudi Arabia, and the Royal House of Saud on the passing of His Highness, Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz bin Bandar Al Saud.
Tinubu said this in a statement by his spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale.
Expressing grief at the loss, the President acknowledges the departed Prince’s excellent and dedicated service to his country throughout his outstanding career in the Royal Saudi Air Force and the Saudi Intelligence Agency.
As his memory is forever etched in the annals of the Kingdom he loved dearly, the Nigerian leader prays Allah grants repose to the soul of the departed, and comfort for the Royal House of Saud, the Kingdom, and all who mourn this irreparable loss.
The Saudi monarchy announced the death of Saudi Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at the age of 62.
The Saudi Prince died in a tragic military aircraft crash, which occurred during a training mission in the Eastern Province on December 7, 2023.
Reports say the F-15 fighter jet being used crashed during a training exercise with the Air Force.
He has been buried in accordance with Islamic funeral rites.
