Participants Gear Up for Somaliland National Football Season

On 28 of this month, Somaliland Ministry of Sports will hold a national football season series at the Hargeisa Stadium.

Regional teams are on their way to the capital to participate in the national tournament. Before the Togdheer team took off on their journey to Hargeisa, the Regional Admin and the City Council of Buroa invited the team to farewell dinner to honor them.

The region’s officials delivered great speeches on how Buroa was historically famous for excelling in sports especially in football in early 70s. They urged the team to put up an astounding performance and return victorious to Togdheer. The regional police chief also wished the team well and victorious.

Finalist teams in the six regions of Somaliland will compete in Hargeisa National Stadium and entertain myriad football fans who will be arriving with their regional teams. Thousands of fans will pour to the venue of the football in Hargeisa to cheer their favorite teams.

Somaliland’s highest officials, including the vice president, may inaugurate the launching of the football tournament.

The football events will be broadcast live to Somali football fans in all corners of the world.
