The live-streamed event touched upon issues such as the nation’s security landscape, economic recovery, constitutional review, regional cooperation, and impending elections.
President Hassan Sheikh expressed unwavering confidence in the Somalia National Army (SNA) for ensuring his security, highlighting the significance of being the first president exclusively safeguarded by the SNA post the nation’s turmoil from civil war and terrorism.
During the meeting, the president announced an upcoming review of soldiers’ salaries, emphasizing its importance for the Somalia government. He affirmed the government’s dedication to enhancing the living conditions, welfare, training, and equipment provision for the armed forces.
Acknowledging international support, President Hassan Sheikh extended gratitude to partners aiding the SNA, ATMIS, and AMISOM in their joint efforts to combat the Al-Shabaab group and secure the nation.
