As part of the Qatar-mediated agreement between Hamas and Israel, a Qatari aircraft carrying essential medical supplies and aid for both Israeli hostages and Gazan civilians landed at the Arish airport in Egypt on Wednesday.
Reports indicate that the first shipment of medication from Qatar arrived at the Al Arish airport in Egypt on Wednesday morning.
Qatari officials had announced the night before that two of their air force planes, loaded with medicines and other humanitarian aid, would depart on Wednesday for El-Arish in Egypt.
The shipment includes drugs for asthma, diabetes, kidney disease, heart disease, among others.
These medications, sourced from France, are to be dispatched to Egypt in two shipments before being transferred to Gaza.
However, the agreement to allow medicines to reach hostages in Gaza hinged on Israel allowing a significant increase in pharmaceutical aid entering Gaza.
