The food aid ship is expected to benefit thousands of Somali families who are in need of humanitarian assistance. The Russian government has also pledged to continue its humanitarian and development cooperation with Somalia and other African countries.
The Ambassador was received at the Mogadishu Airport by the Somalia Minister of Information, Daud Aweis Jama, and the Director of the European Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abdurahman Nur Mohamed (Diinaari). They expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the Russian government and people for their generous support and solidarity.
