A gunman killed a prominent businessman identified as Hassan Mohamud Osoble, also known as Hidiri, in the Mahas district of the Hiiraan region. Residents reported that the perpetrators escaped from the scene after they murdered him.
Local residents disclosed that the assailant targeted Osoble, who was subsequently rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries. Osoble, a prosperous entrepreneur and esteemed elder in the district, was well-regarded by the community.

Meanwhile, the grief-stricken family of the deceased is pleading for justice, urging the security agencies to swiftly apprehend the suspects and bring them to court.
