The federal government of Somalia revealed that 10 Alshabab fighters were killed in a joint operation conducted by the national army and international partners in Run-Nirgood district of Middle Shabelle.
Withouting naming the international partners, authorities said the Army and the International partners also destroyed a vehicle belonging to the Alshabab militants and was filled with explosives devices.
The Somalia National Army said they managed to foil the attacks of Alshabab and destroy the explosions they planted in a car. The operation comes days after the federal government intensified its operations against the group.
The government also recently claimed to have regained full control of the al-Shabaab stronghold El Garas in the central state of Galgaduud as the government intensified its operations against Alshabab.
