The Director General of the Somalia Immigration and Citizenship Agency (ICA), Ahmed Said Mohamed, met with senior British officials during his official visit to the United Kingdom, the meeting aimed to enhance the recognition of Somalia passports and to foster bilateral cooperation in the field of immigration.
The Somalia Immigration chief discussed with his British counterparts the challenges and opportunities facing the Somalia immigration sector, and the progress made by the ICA in improving the quality and security of Somalia passports.
He also expressed his appreciation for the British government’s support and assistance to the ICA, especially in the areas of training and capacity building for ICA officers.
The British officials commended the ICA for its achievements and reiterated their commitment to continue working with the Somalia government to strengthen the immigration system and to facilitate the movement of people between the two countries.
