The Somalia Deputy Prime minister Mahdi Guiled has met with the Ugandan President Yuweri Museveni over strengthening the relations between the two Nations.
Mahdi Mohamed Guiled, the deputy Prime Minister of Somalia who has been in Kampala for quite a number of hours now has held a meeting with the Ugandan President Yuweri Kaguta Museveni over strengthening the diplomatic ties between the two countries.
Mehdi Guiled also confirmed that he was accompanied on his visit to Uganda by the First Lady of Somalia, Saynab Abdi, and they will both witness the opening ceremony of Atika Sugar Factory owned by a Somali Business Woman.
The two officials also mentioned that they discussed security issues related to Somalia considering the fact that Uganda is the major contributor to the African troops in Somalia. AMISOM military commanders resolved in January to cut down another additional 1,000 troops from the regional peacekeeping force in Somalia.
Somalia is expected to fully take over the security responsibility of its borders once the AMISOM troops complete their evacuation.
