Somalia FG Hold Meeting over Formation of New Government

A series of meetings was held in Somalia’s presidential palace in Mogadishu with serious deliberations on the formation of new government cabinet ministers. Somalia President Mohamed Abdullaahi Farmaajo, the new Prime Minister Mr Roble as well as the Speaker of Parliament Mohamed held a conference in Villa Somalia which lasted for hours.

Both the President and the Prime Minister invited the Speaker of Parliament to proffer some advice on the formation of the new government that Mr Roble intends to kick off with immediately.

Mr Roble promised earlier that his new government after formation will take part in the democratic presidential elections that are going to take place next year.

According to close sources to the government, the same ministers of the outgoing government by Khayr may be re-nominated in the new government for their leadership roles and to enable them to finish off the projects they were handling before being relieved of their duties.

Mr Roble is busy carrying out the selection of the new ministers of his government in the making; he promised that his new government would be a ‘lean’ government and will continue the business of the fallen government and finish the unfinished projects.
