

The Federal Government of Somalia is delivering humanitarian aid to families who are stranded in parts of Jubaland State due to the heavy rains that caused severe floods. Hundreds of families have been cut off from supplies or trapped by torrential rains and floods in Somalia since October.
Humanitarians and authorities have mobilized boats to deliver life-saving assistance and evacuate those trapped. At least 28 boats are operational in 7 locations.Additional resources are required to meet the rising needs as flooding continues.
The Somalia Disaster Management Agency is one of the agencies delivering life-saving assistance to the people affected by the floods in many parts of the country, resulting in the deaths of at least 50 people and displaced hundreds of people.
The United Nations OCHA in Somalia delivers aid to the people affected by the flash floods and asks for more resources to support the people who have been trapped and cut off from other parts of the society due to the heavy rains.
