

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Somalia has conveyed its unwavering solidarity and assistance to Somali nationals residing in Morocco and Libya, who have recently grappled with the repercussions of natural disasters. The ministry has actively engaged with the respective authorities of both nations to facilitate aid and relief efforts for those individuals in distress.
Hamse Aadan Haadow, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Somalia, disclosed that the Somalia government has dispatched condolences and aid to the Moroccan and Libyan governments, both of which have confronted challenges stemming from landslides and other severe weather events.
He reported that the Somalia Embassy in Morocco conducted assessments at the locations affected by landslides, affirming that there were no Somali communities adversely impacted by these calamities. Additionally, he acknowledged the remarkable resilience and fortitude displayed by Somali residents in Libya in overcoming the challenges posed by the recent disasters.
The Ministry earnestly encourages Somalis residing in Morocco and Libya to establish contact with the ministry or their respective embassy, particularly if they find themselves in dire circumstances or require any form of assistance.
