Somalia’s Deputy Prime Minister, Salah Ahmed Jama, unveiled a significant initiative in Mogadishu known as the Somalia Emergency Preparedness and Response Assessment, in conjunction with the NEOC Investment Requirements Report.
In a concerted effort to combat the al-Shabab group and foster stability within the nation, Deputy Prime Minister Salah Ahmed Jama underscored the pivotal role of this project, urging the Somali populace to make substantial contributions towards this endeavor.
This initiative, a collaborative endeavor between the National Disaster Management Agency (SODMA) and the World Bank, is designed to address the pressing needs of both the armed forces and local communities actively involved in military operations against al-Shabab, as per the Office of the Prime Minister.
Simultaneously, the African Union Transmission Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) announced the commencement of the second phase of planned troop withdrawals, adding a new dimension to the ongoing military offensive.
