President Hassan Sheikh has, on behalf of the government and people of Somalia, extended deep condolences to the government and people of Namibia over the passing of President Hage Geingob.
The Namibian head of state passed away on February 4 at the age of 82. In January, the presidential office reported that he was diagnosed with cancer. Villa Somalia, the presidential palace issued a statement, in which the president said that the President expressed his sincere condolences to the people and government of Namibia on the passing of Geingob.
President Hassan Sheikh said the Namibia President was a distinguished leader who devoted his life to the service of his people and was a respected voice on the African continent.
