Somalia’s Prime Minister, Hamse Abdi Barre, participating in the Africa Human Capital Heads of State Summit hosted in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Leading a ministerial delegation from Somalia, Prime Minister Barre is expected to highlight Somalia’s human capital growth priorities during the summit.
The primary focus of the Summit centered around the crucial theme of connecting investments in human capital to foster economic growth and capitalize on the demographic dividend. Particular emphasis was placed on addressing learning poverty and the skills gap among youth and women.
During his visit to Tanzania, Prime Minister Barre also will engage in side meetings with various African heads of states. These meetings aimed to strengthen collaborations between countries in areas such as trade, security, regional integrity, and diplomacy.
