Somalia’s Acting Minister of Finance Abdirahman Duale Beyle attended a video conference with the World Bank to discuss the impact of Covid-19 on the country’s economy.
In a statement posted on his Twitter account, Minister Beyle said the leaders who attended the conference shared the country’s financial transformation and the impact of the coronavirus on the Somali economy.
He said that they held important discussions in Somalia on the sidelines of the virtual Annual Meetings with VP Hafez Ghanem and the country team and they are grateful to the Bank for the support towards the reform efforts and strengthening our Covid-19 response.
Abdirahman Duale Beyle thanked World Bank Vice President for Africa Hafez Ghanem for the World Bank’s support to Somalia.
He also expressed gratitude to the World Bank for its support in its economic reform efforts and in strengthening its response to the effects of coronavirus, said Minister Beyle.
