The Former Somalia Prime Minister Ali Khalif Galaydh who recently died in Jigjiga, Ethiopia has been laid to rest in Mogadishu. Somalia’s President and other Politicians were among those in attendance at the funeral.
Ali Khalif Galeydh, the former Somalia Prime minister as well as Khatumo state leader has been laid to rest in Mogadishu, the capital city of Somalia. His funeral was attended by the top leaders of the government, including the President of Somalia.
They all sent condolences to his family and the nation for the loss of a beloved Prime minister.
Ali Khalif Galaydh, died on Thursday at the age of 79 in Jigjiga, Ethiopia. According to officials, he died of COVID-19 but his family claims Galaydh may have died after being poisoned.
He previously served as Minister of Industry under Siad Barre’s regime. He was also appointed as a member of Parliament in 1979. Ali Khalif Galaydh was born in 1941 in Las’anod in Somaliland.
He is well remembered for his participation in the Somali National Peace Conference in Arta, Djibouti.
