The Vice President of Galmudug State in Somalia, Ali Daahir Eid, has reaffirmed his decision to expel the Regional Minister of Interior, despite opposition from the Regional President, who has deemed the move unconstitutional.
In a statement emphasizing his stance, Vice President Ali Daahir Eid asserted the validity of the controversial suspension and called upon all government entities with affiliations to the Ministry of Interior to discontinue their collaboration with the dismissed minister.
This contentious suspension has exposed a deep divide among the region’s high-ranking officials, with accusations flying on both sides regarding the breach of the regional constitution.
Ali Daahir Eid further disclosed that Galmudug State has been embroiled in political discord for the past three years, highlighting his role as the sole figure attempting to mitigate tensions and seek resolution through agreements.
