The Minister of health of Somalia, Dr Ali Haji Adam and a delegation he led have arrived in Cairo, the capital city of Egypt. According to the ministry, he will take over the leadership of the 70th session of the World Health Organization WHO/EMRO Regional Office.
The forum which commences today will discuss how to start the vision of health development in the whole East and Central while ensuring the delivery of comprehensive health throughout the region.
Other members of the organization also landed in Cairo for the last couple of days, for members unable to attend in person, the meeting will be streamed online on the WHO public website as reported by the organization.
During the session, members will also discuss their success in the previous year, challenges to realizing the health for all initiatives, and electing the next regional director.
