Somaliland bashes Ilhan Omar for Alleged Involvement in Stirring Conflict among Somalis

Ministry of Information, Culture and National Guidance of the Republic of Somaliland has thrown strong accusations against Ilhan Omar, a member of the US Congress, alleging her involvement in creating animosity and discord within the Somalia community. In December 2022, during a visit to Garowe, Omar purportedly leaked sensitive information to Somalia leaders regarding a meeting between the President of Somaliland and the Foreign Affairs Committee of the US Congress, of which she was a member at the time.
