

The Somaliland President Muse Bihi today held a special meeting with the National Electoral commission over the upcoming elections. According to the Presidency, the major agenda of the meeting was to accelerate the election Process.
The National Electoral Commission notified the President that they have already commenced the election process citing the mock biometric voter registration which was conducted in some parties of the country as an instance of their preparation.
The President also applauded the work of the electoral commission and he emphasized that the election should happen at its scheduled time.
At an earlier date, the National Electoral commission and the political parties had agreed to hold elections within 9 months.
