While the circumstances surrounding his passing remain undisclosed by the federal government of Somalia, Somaliland authorities have attributed responsibility to Somalia and alleged for his death. Somaliland have announced intentions to conduct a thorough post-mortem examination before laying Dahable to rest in his hometown of Gabiley.
Officials from Somaliland have disclosed the formation of a national committee tasked with overseeing both the post-mortem examination and the funeral arrangements for Abdinasir Muse Dahable.
Meanwhile, Somalia law enforcement had detained six individuals in connection with the incident and seized potential evidentiary material. However, formal disclosure of a comprehensive investigative report is pending, prompting Somaliland to characterize the incident as a targeted assassination.
