The Somaliland national electoral commission members have elected a new chairmanship after the last three remaining seats were completed recently. The members elected Muse Hassan Yusuf as the Charman of the electron commission, Ahmed Osman was also elected as his deputy while Abdiaziz Hirsi Warsame was ominously voted to be the spokesperson of the electron commission.
The leading opposition parties and the political association have sepetatly welcomed the move and urged the newly elected electron commission members to act neutral and take the responsibility of holding peaceful, fair and transparent elections in Somaliland.
The electoral commission is expected very soon to issue a report about the election timeline and its procedures. They will either take the risk to hold the elections which left less than two months including the Presidential election or will seek a few months extension to finalize if there are pending essential election requirements.
Meanwhile, the House of Representatives will also decide on the election sequence, the centred conflict between the government and opposition parties. President Bihi wants the political association election to precede the 13th November presidential election while opposition parties said no other ballot can precede the presidential election.
