

The political associations in Somaliland, who have been eagerly awaiting the release of the National Electoral Commission’s election timelines for the past few months, have publicly endorsed the newly announced schedule.
Leaders from various political associations expressed their appreciation to the National Electoral Commission for unveiling the election dates. According to the released timeline, the Political Parties and Associations election is slated to take place on the 28th of December, 2023, followed by the Presidential election on the 13th of November, 2024.
In response to the electoral body’s decision on the sequencing of the elections, the Political Associations reiterated their support and called upon the general public to follow suit and show their endorsement for the schedule.
Moreover, the leaders of the Political Associations issued a public appeal, urging citizens to prepare for the upcoming elections responsibly and to refrain from engaging in any activities that could jeopardize the integrity and smooth conduct of the electoral process. By fostering an environment of security and stability, the nation can ensure a fair and transparent election.
