Today, President Muse Bihi Abdi of Somaliland, along with a delegation he leads, departed for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, marking an official working visit. This follows the conclusion of his recent two-day official visit to Djibouti, during which he actively participated in talks concerning Somalia and Somaliland.
The Somaliland Presidency confirmed that this visit materialized in response to an official invitation extended by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed. The focus of their meeting is anticipated to center on discussions related to security and trade cooperation.
Accompanying the President are key cabinet members, including Ahmed Diiriye Toorno, the Minister of National Planning; Sa’ad Ali Shire, the Minister of Finance; and Muse Ibrahim Selef, the Deputy Minister of Commerce and Industries. However, the Minister of Foreign Affairs is already in Ethiopia and will be joining them for the scheduled meetings.
