The Management of Burao University in Somaliland has held a ceremony for 180 people who successfully completed their higher education training program under the supervision of the postgraduate school which the University offered to them.
The ceremony was attended by notable figures including representatives of the ministry of education, the Mayor of Burao and the top management of Burao University as well as other important people from the public.
Narrating about the grand purpose of this initiative, the Dean of Postgraduate school, Ahmed Muse expressed optimism that this initiative will play a key role in the country’s higher education standard. He said the University initially enrolled 220 teachers for this program and eventually 180 teachers have successfully accomplished their training.
Some of the instructors also commended this initiative of training, clarifying that Somaliland could develop good leaders and academicians by enhancing the education standard. They also encouraged the Lectures to proceed with their studies and challenged them to never stop learning to improve their teaching techniques.
The University management made a promise to engage in other major and important training for the lectures and other members of the University staff in future in order to level up their teaching skills.
