Abdiaziz Dhobo, a 24-year-old young man, died in a pond on the southern outskirts of Masala in Hargeisa city. The Fire Brigade together with police quickly went to the scene and searched for the body, retrieved the deceased who was stuck in the mud at the bottom of the pond and succeeded in removing the body of the deceased from it.
The fire brigade sent a message to the people of Somaliland to be careful during the rains in the valleys, ponds, power lines and everything that is dangerous to the lives and property of the citizens.
The Fire Brigade and the police, especially the Criminal Investigation Branch sent its condolences to the family, relatives and friends of the deceased and prayed for him may Allah bless him.
A week prior, Somaliland police sent a warning to the public to refrain from crossing rivers and dams as the rainy season has started in some regions of the country and more heavy rain is expected. After a mother of 5 little kids died after being carried away by Hargeisa Valley.
