SOMALILAND.COM – The leader of Somaliland’s Justice and Welfare party today accused the president of treason.
In a press conference at his party’s headquarters, UCID’s chairman Faysal Ali Warabe said the president has sold out the country in exchange for aid money from the international community.
Faysal Added that International partners offered Somaliland’s 30 percent of aid allocated to Somalia in exchange for meeting an agreement with the president of Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo.
He argued that the president Bihi wouldn’t have gotten away with such a move if there were elected officials in office.
The leader of UCID Party made these remarks in a joint press conference with the chairman of Waddani party, Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi Irro. The two parties called for early presidential elections in response to President Bihi’s bid to abolish two years before their term ends.
