Hargeisa local council in collaboration with SOYDAVO have formally launched a youth-led initiative to support youth innovations in Hargeisa. Each district of the city will be having a representative contestor.
Khadar Omar Ahmed, the deputy mayor of Hargeisa elaborating in depth on this project, stated that this was intended to encourage the young people of Hargeisa on voluntarism and coming up with innovations over the development of the region in the perspective of entrepreneurship.
He also underscored that they will consider one innovation idea for each district and the contesting winner will be rewarded 1,000 US dollars. The deputy mayor also clarified that the registration process will take place on 24th August and the deadline will be on 15th September.
The aspiring contestants will submit their innovation ideas to the social affairs department of Hargeisa local council and email contacts that will be provided to either Hargeisa local council or SOYDAVO social platforms.
